CAREERLEADER GUIDED TOUR
More about our tests

CareerLeader has three proprietary tests that we've developed specifically for individuals interested in a career in business.

The first and most comprehensive is the Business Career Interest Inventory (BCII). This test help you to define your core business interests, those activites integral to business work that you most enjoy. The test will offer a series of occupations, fields of study, and personal qualities, and ask you to rate your affinity to each item on a scale of 0 ("I would not like the work/field of study/this quality is not like me") to 3 ("I would very much like the work/field of study/this quality is very much like me") .

Note: this is an example of the test only.

Biomedical researcher 0 1 2 3
Chief Financial Officer 0 1 2 3
Real estate salesperson 0 1 2 3
Professional athlete 0 1 2 3
Write a computer software program 0 1 2 3
Design a fashion magazine cover 0 1 2 3

Of course, the above is only a small segment of the entire inventory, to give you a flavor of what it's like. After filling in your responses, you would click a button to submit your responses and have the inventory scored immediately.

The second test, the Management and Professional Rewards Profile (MPRP) helps you to clarify what it is you want to "get" out of work. It's human nature to want everything -- the structure of this test will help make you sort out which elements are more important than others by forcing you to choose one statement over another.

Similarly, the third test, the Management and Professional Abilities Profile (MPAP) helps you to prioritize which of your abilities you are best at by comparing them to each other and selecting the stronger. The structure of both is very similar, so we'll show an example only from the MPRP.

Note: this is an example only, from the MPRP.

Both tests also contain a second section which focuses on the absolute importance or strength of each value (MPRP) or ability (MPAP), without reference to the other values and abilities.
